Types of Supports

Core Supports

Core Supports help with daily activities, disability-related needs, and progressing toward your goals. This is the most flexible budget, and you can usually use it across the four Core categories. However, some areas—like transport—have limited flexibility.

Capacity Building

Capacity Building Supports help you build independence and skills to reach your long-term goals. Unlike Core Supports, this funding cannot be moved between categories and can only be used for approved supports within its specific category.

Capital Supports

The Capital Supports budget covers Assistive Technology and Home Modifications. It funds higher-cost equipment, home or vehicle changes, and other one-off purchases. These funds are restricted and can only be used for their intended purpose.
